LUAS TRAM STOP [RANELAGH NOVEMBER 2019]
November has not been a great month – My geo-tagging failed I have no idea as to why. And then, today, I stood on my iPad Pro and it was totally destroyed and it will be many months before I can replace it.
The Luas Green Line has two stops in the Ranelagh area: Ranelagh on Ranelagh Road and Beechwood on Dunville Avenue, built on the site of the former Ranelagh railway station on the Harcourt Street railway line (the station opened as Ranelagh & Rathmines on 16 July 1896, was renamed Ranelagh in 1921 and finally closed on 1 January 1959).
The Dublin Metro (Metrolink) was expected to stop alongside Ranelagh’s Luas station on its way from Swords to Sandyford, but, as of February 2019, these plans are in doubt as the Metro may terminate at Harcourt Street.
